You Don’t Have to Add to the Noise
I was going to post about Beltane.
The Full Moon.
I even tried to plan it earlier in the week.
Something meaningful.
Something insightful.
Something with a “unique angle.”
You know… valuable content.
So naturally—
I overthought it, spiraled a little,
and shut down.
Nothing.
No inspiration.
Whatsoever.
And honestly?
I was tired.
Borderline burned out from the week.
There are already countless posts about this.
You’ve probably seen them.
Saved a few.
And still—
nothing in me wanted to add to the noise
just for the sake of showing up.
So I didn’t.
I went outside.
Dug my hands into the dirt.
Did some gardening.
Let the not-so-tropical New England sun
hit my face for a minute.
Gave myself some energy back.
Some Reiki.
Some grace.
My Not-So-Insightful Insight
Some days you “do” because you have to.
And some days you “do”
because you feel like you’re supposed to.
Those are not the same thing.
Life already applies enough pressure.
You don’t have to add more
just to feel like you’re doing it right.
That part?
Is usually self-inflicted.
And the choice—
is still yours.
Showing up for yourself counts too.
Journal Prompt
Where am I putting pressure on myself
that no one actually asked for?
